iTEC Skincare Course (Level 2)

Start Date: Sunday 30th Aug-Sunday 6th December 2026-
Location: Virginia, Co. Cavan
Format: Theory onsite with  – online back up videos + onsite practical

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for healthcare professionals, nurses, hairdressers and holistic therapists who want
to build a strong foundation in professional skincare. It is the essential stepping stone for
those wishing to progress into advanced non-medical aesthetic qualifications, such as skin
needling/micro-needling (Level 6). No experience is necessary.

  • Required pre-requisite qualification for progression to advanced aesthetic training.
  • Study at your own pace with live theory classes and optional pre-recorded theory lessons.
  • Only one Sunday every two weeks – flexible for working professionals.
  • Delivered by Lorraine, an expert skincare specialist with over 20 years’ experience and examining,
    registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland.
  • Gain an internationally recognised iTEC Level 2 Certificate in Facial Skincare aligned to the National Qualifcation Ireland.
  • Add an extra treatment of facial therapy to your existing business.

Course Structure

  • Theory: Live theory classes with optional pre-recorded video lectures (watch at home at a slower pace).
  • Practical: Hands-on training at our school in Virginia, Co. Cavan.

Practical Dates (Sundays, 10am – 4/5pm):

  • Aug 30th , Sept 20th, 4th Oct, 18th Oct, 8th Nov, 22nd Nov, 29th Nov.
  • Exam Date: Proposed Sunday 6th December 2026

What You’ll Learn

Following iTEC standards, you will cover:

  • Professional preparation, hygiene , safety in skincare practice.
  • Client consultation, skin analysis , treatment planning.
  • Techniques in facial cleansing, exfoliation, massage & lamp; masks.
  • Identifying skin types, conditions , contra-indications.
  • Product knowledge and treatment adaptation.
  • Anatomy & physiology related to skincare.
  • Professional standards, record keeping & aftercare advice.

Equipment & Uniform

Students will need to bring:

  • Black clipboard
  • 3 large grey bath sheet towels
  • 3 grey hand towels
  • Single bed fitted sheet
  • Uniform: Black/Navy tunic , trousers with flat black shoes (required for exam not
    for class, or any other professional uniform).
  • Access to a laptop/potable device for final exam in December

Learning Resources

  • Core textbook: The Art and Science of Beauty Therapy by Jane Foulston. Optional as
    class notes provided.
  • Online video lectures.
  • Practical demonstrations and supervised training.

Award

On successful completion, students receive the iTEC Level 2 Certificate in Facial
Skincare, enabling progression to:

  • iTEC Level 3 Facial Electrics
  • iTEC Level 5 Anatomy and Physiology
  • iTEC Level 6 (Level 4 UK)Skin Needling / Advanced Aesthetics

Cost

€1,500 ( stage payments of €250 per session). iTEC Exam fees included and class
products.
Stage payments each month/class.

iTEC Skin Needling Level 4 UK/Level 6 Ireland.

Pre Requiste:

This is a post graduate course, students must have a Level 2 skincare qualification and Level 5 Anatomy and physiology ( Please contact us as many students have QQI level 5 and iTEC level 5 qualifcations that may be suitable)
